The Comedy of Errors : William Shakespeare

•Title: 'The Comedy of Errors'

•Author: William Shakespeare.

•Genre: Comedy, Play.

•Introduction:
The Comedy of Errors is a Shakespearean classic comic play. I personally like to read this play because of it's ridiculousness. It creates quite confusions among the readers that is so attractive to me and hopefully to everyone who reads. Shakespeare is known for his romance and tragedy writes, but in this comic act, for me, he is able to show his great sense of humour.

•Summary:
Shortly we can say that "The Comedy of Errors is a typical twin-comedy-drama". Two sets of twins are separated by a dangerous storm. Two of them end up in one place, the other two somewhere else and herein the real game  began. Then the sets of twins find themselves in the same city. The comedy begins when one twins’ wife and friends mistake the newly arrived brother for the first one. The same drama begins with his servant, whose twin is the servant of his master’s twin. And there's little confusion occured.

•Verdict:
As The Comedy of Errors is first and foremost a play, it must be read as such. Reading the character list and remember those names would be an initial step. It’s not one of the longest of Shakespeare’s plays but if you’re not used to reading an iambic verse or Elizabethan language it will take some time and concentration.

In most of the plays, Shakespeare is able to increase readers' curiosity. I think he did the same in this comic too.  You can feel the curiosity for the next events in this play which helps you to read this book for a long time in a moment.

The characters themselves are crazy and hyper. Sexism and racism are shown keenly in this play. Two sets of twins made this play more sarcastic.

In the case of confusions created in this play, Shakespeare is able to clear those little confusions with a suitable ending. We can easily clear our confusions one by one by reading this book with needed concentration.

Maybe it's not the best work from Shakespeare, but it's going to be attractive to you if you love sarcasm. I prefer to read this book because I think we need comedy along with romance and tragedy in case of reading as well as reel and real life.

My rating for this book is 8 out of 10.
